GHOST SHRIMP
Ghost shrimp is a good name for this species which is very transparent. Ghost shrimp is a medium sized shrimp that you can almost see through it. Other names for ghost shrimp is glass shrimp and feeder shrimp.They walk under plants to find little food which they eat.the ghost shrimp find tiny scraps of food at the bottom of the estuary to eat. Scince they are transparent you can see the food that they .Ghost shrimp eat a lot, so they make great cleaners. They are a little aggressive to other ghost shrimp. Bigger shrimp are aggressive to little and thinner shrimp if kept in the same place for a long time. Ghost shrimp live in the estuary. The california gull depends on the ghost shrimp for food.The ghost shrimp depends on plants to hide in time of danger. And animals depend on the ghost shrimp to have a clean estuary. The ghost shrimp is able to reproduce. To get away from predators, ghost shrimp dig up a U shaped tunnel under ground. From their nesting place in the bottom of the U, the shrimp pump water. A small clam called the Mya clam also lives withe the ghost shrimp. All the mya clam does is filter more detritus as food. The only way you can tell from male to female is that the male has a bigger claw.

Sea otters
Sea otters scientific name is Enhydra Lutris. It is part of the weasel family it is found along the coast of the pacific ocean north America and Asia. Sea otters spend most of there time in the water but in some places of the world they come out to sleep. Sea otters eat, sleep, hunt, mate, and give birth in water. They use rocks to open clams and muscles by setting the rock on the stomach and hitting the shell on the rock. Sea otters have webbed feet and water repelled fur that keeps them dry and warm. Kelp also provide a defense system from predators so the sea otter doesn't get eaten by whales and other dangerous creatures. The creatures that eat the sea otter depend on the sea otters for a foodsorce. Sea otters depend on the ocean and the animals it eats and the kelp forest for shelter.

The Western Painted Turtle or also can be called (Chrysemys Picta Bellii) can live up to 50 years or longer! It has a green head and legs with yellow lines. It's belly is red with black design and it's shell is olive brown with red/orange out line. It can grow up to 4-10 inches long and there height can be 2.5 inches, it depends on how long they are. The male turtles are smaller than the female. The baby painted turtles hatch until 10 weeks and their hatching size is the size of a quarter. The baby turtles eat tadpoles, frogs, snails, worms, and bugs. When they eat they eat under water. The older western painted turtles eat plants underwater as well. These turtles do hibernate, and for them to be able to hibernate they crawl under the mud for heat.
